Sessions to cover workflow and diagnostic pain points and the use of bioinformatics to address these pain points
Tucson, Ariz., January 22, 2018 – Sunquest Information Systems will be presenting at this year’s Precision Medicine World Conference (PMWC) in Silicon Valley on pain points facing today’s molecular and genetics labs and how they can overcome challenges through informatics to be positioned for success. In these sessions, Nabil Hafez, Senior Director of Product Management, Precision Medicine will discuss the growth of precision medicine-based diagnostics, and the increased workflow and data complexity that comes with next-generation sequencing (NGS) and other molecular tests. PMWC is one of the leading annual forums for precision medicine.
Sunquest presentations include:
“The Challenges of Enabling Precision Medicine Diagnostics”
Tuesday, January 23, 1:30 p.m. during Track 2
“Sunquest Mitogen™: End-to-End LIMS & Genetic Analysis for Precision Medicine”
Wednesday, January 24, 12:15 p.m. during Track 5
Sunquest Mitogen is the company’s latest precision medicine innovation, providing hospitals and labs with an end-to-end solution for streamlining molecular workflow in the wet lab through a purpose-built LIMS and performing clinically actionable genetic analysis in the dry lab. In the first talk, Mr. Hafez will discuss the concept of using bioinformatics to simplify the data deluge and create process efficiency. In the second, he will showcase the molecular LIMS and genetic analysis components of Sunquest Mitogen.
“It is an honor to be part of PMWC 2018,” said Mr. Hafez. “Accelerating precision medicine is a sizeable undertaking, but the benefits to patient care are clear. Our goal at Sunquest is to deliver solutions that make technical processes easier for providers and clinical benefits accessible for patients.”
Sunquest will be at booth #29 in the exhibit hall.
