Regulatory monitoring
Sunquest Information System’s Regulatory Affairs department is responsible for monitoring the Quality System Regulations for Medical Device Manufacturing and ensuring Sunquest processes conform to FDA regulations and reporting requirements. In addition, Regulatory Affairs is responsible for ensuring compliance to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003. Product Management and Product Development monitor AABB guidelines that govern blood bank operations and where practical, Sunquest designs its blood bank software to augment the ability of the blood banks to comply with these regulations and guidelines.
