Enables simple configuration and collection of any patient centric clinical data at point of care
For an application to be widely adopted for clinical documentation at the point of care, it must be quicker, easier to learn and more accurate than existing recording methods. The ICE Clinical Assessment module satisfies these key requirements. It is designed around the use of assessment and care planning templates to provide an operational tool set that enables care providers to create a uniquely intuitive, easy and familiar structure for recording all clinical encounters.
The system design and user-defined templates enable fast, accurate ‘point and click’ data capture ideally suited to state-of-the-art pen/stylus and wireless devices. When combined with comprehensive clinical picklists, this can allow the creation of comprehensive documentation without ever touching the keyboard. This flexibility is provided without compromising in any way the quality and integrity of the clinical information collected.
ICE Clinical Assessment is a strategic component feeding the clinical data repository and ICE EPR Summary. It features the ability to do admission and on-going assessments, plan care or services, document interventions, provide patient information and support the evaluation of patient outcomes. Included in this system category are specialist niche clinical applications tailored to specific discipline requirements and care settings. Templates can be constructed to use data entry fields, picklists, image upload etc. Rules can be applied to assist input within specified limits. Fields can be linked together (eg Systolic/diastolic blood pressure).
Like all ICE modules, Clinical Assessments lends itself extremely well to operation on Mobile Clinical Assistant (MCA) devices.
