ICE CDS is an NHS accredited system for translating Commissioning Data Set (CDS) data into the required NHS XML message using the SUS defined schema. The XML message files are then transferred to SUS using the BT supplied software, External Data Transfer (EDT client).

System Features:

• All NHSCDS message types can be processed using the Bulk Replacement or Net Change mechanism
• Ability to translate data file formats from all the key CDS data source systems - PAS, A&E, etc.
• Extensive data validation against the latest CDS data dictionary to ensure data quality
• Extensive checks to ensure that the data conforms to the SUS defined XML schema
• The error management feature which identifies all data errors and provides the ability to isolate or correct erroneous records
• System customisation to provide a fully automated file translation service
• System can be locally hosted or hosted by Sunquest as part of a bureau service
