The Sunquest ICE™ product suite provides web-based services delivering a comprehensive range of software applications for use in primary and secondary care NHS Trusts. Our expertise in clinical and demographic data and communication systems enables us to communicate with all installed PAS, LIMS, RIS and departmental systems.
The products fall into two main categories - ICE Messaging (messaging services for pathology, radiology, clinical letters and commissioning data sets) and ICE Desktop (hosts applications for requesting, reporting and clinical correspondence as well as our groundbreaking Lab2Lab software).
ICE Messaging
ICE Labcomm delivers messages to GP practices and other departmental systems. The messages available for sending to GPs include Pathology results, Radiology reports and Discharge correspondence. Cytology data is sent to PCTs and registration details can be returned. ICE™ Labcomm is also used to feed data to other systems such as GUM, A&E, Renal and Maternity systems.
ICE CDS validates and forwards Commissioning Data Set information. Full error correcting facilities are built in. Sunquest also offers a full bureaux service for CDS.
ICE Desktop
ICE Desktop is a management system handling patient demographic data and acting as a host for all ICE applications. Data is accepted from PAS, LIMS, RIS and other departmental systems and also from GP Practice systems. Using comprehensive but flexible matching routines, patient data can be managed to provide a single point of call for all ICE™ and any other hosted applications. The data gathered can also be forwarded to other departmental systems (see ICE™ Interfaces and ICE™ Interoperability for more).
