Tucson, AZ, January 29, 2008 – Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., a market leader in laboratory information systems, today announced its professional services group has been contracted by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) to help expand and transfer its software information technology assets and capabilities from the current LAC+USC Medical Center to a new replacement hospital on the same site.  Sunquest will assist with transferring the Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) to the new facility and also with implementing and integrating numerous enterprise applications into the hospital’s IT infrastructure to maximize operational efficiency.  The new facility is scheduled to be open in Spring, 2008.
