Tucson, AZ, March 4, 2008 – Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., a market leader in laboratory information systems, today announced that the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) has purchased its Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) for its future Western Regional Medical Center in Suburban Phoenix scheduled to open its doors in early 2009. CTCA has been a long-standing customer of Sunquest Laboratory at its other hospitals located in Philadelphia Suburban-Chicago and Tulsa. Standardizing on Sunquest Laboratory for its newest location will help CTCA maintain operational efficiency by having a consistent LIS across its multi-site enterprise. The new CTCA at Western Regional Medical Center will provide patients and caregivers in the West easier access to the unique care model.
“We rely heavily on our laboratory information system to provide critical results and clinical data to numerous departments throughout our organization. Sunquest Laboratory has the advanced features and functionality we need to maintain operational efficiency, and it also integrates seamlessly with our other enterprise systems,” said Chad Eckes, CIO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America. “Cancer Treatment Centers of America has been a satisfied customer of Sunquest for years, which made it an easy decision to stay with Sunquest as the laboratory solution provider for our new center.”
"We look forward to working with Cancer Treatment Centers of America for their implementation of Sunquest Laboratory at their newest treatment center that will be located in Goodyear, Arizona,” said Lisa Cutts, vice president of sales for Sunquest Information Systems, Inc. “The ability to effectively share and manage laboratory data and information between their four centers is very important from a workflow efficiency and productivity standpoint, and our solution will help them maximize and achieve those goals.”
