RALEIGH, N.C. — Dec. 17, 2004 — Misys Healthcare Systems maintains its leading clinical product and exceptional quality service position in the acute care provider, ambulatory and home health market settings with the announcement today that several members of its Misys Optimum™ family of products garnered first-place rankings in the "Top 20 Year-End Best in KLAS Awards” Report released Dec. 15.
After five consecutive years of scoring second in the radiology systems category, Misys Radiology™ overtook all competitors to achieve 2004 Best in KLAS. The KLAS Vendor Relationship Evaluation is comprised of 40 individual questions that cover everything from contracting and sales to implementation, service and upgrades. Specifically, Misys Radiology placed first or second in roughly 77 percent of these performance measures.
Misys Laboratory™ is listed as the top choice in laboratory applications category. Its first place ranking comes on the heels of receiving 510(k) clearance of its Misys Laboratory Blood Bank and Blood Donor modules from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) earlier this year and the signing of 16 new provider clients. KLAS also noted that Misys' anatomic pathology system, CoPathPlus® from Misys, showed the most improvement of any vendor at 23 percent since the release of its 2004 Mid-Year Report Card six months ago.
Misys Homecare™ earned a Best In KLAS Award in Hospice, which is a Specialty Niche Category of the report. And, for the third year in a row, Misys Homecare reaps one of the two top scores in the home health category of KLAS, placing second this year. Ninety-five percent of homecare clients indicated they would purchase the product again, and 93 percent said they would recommend the solution to their friends or peers.
For the first time, Misys Vision™, the enterprise practice management solution, made the report, ranking second in the ambulatory billing and scheduling market segment for practices with more than 100 physicians. Also notable is the inclusion of Misys Vision as one of two practice management systems to make the “Top 20” overall product list. In the 26 to 100 physicians category, Misys Vision showed the ‘biggest improvement” with scores up 11 percent in the past six months.
"Misys’ mission of leading the software industry in meeting the needs of physicians and caregivers in all settings of care is a directive that our company takes to heart and practices fully every day, with every client,” said Tom Skelton, chief executive officer of Misys Healthcare Systems. "The KLAS report validates our unwavering commitment to developing the best software to help build the future of healthcare through the strength of our Misys Optimum solutions.”
