Sunquest CoPathPlus™ v4.0
Sunquest Information Systems, a proven leader in diagnostic data management, is pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) of Sunquest CoPathPlus™ v4.0. Sunquest’s pathology solution will help to better serve care providers inside and outside the laboratory by enabling high quality patient care while enhancing productivity and reducing costs. In addition, this release represents a major milestone for the new Sunquest, as we lay the foundation for our future in molecular and digital pathology. Highlighted below are a few of the capabilities now available:
• Automation/Specimen Workflow enhancements
Specimen and procedure billing charges can be associated to a pathologist or the primary cytology reviewer.
Engraver Manager allows for the incorporation of 2D barcodes onto slides and cassettes, provides additional command controls plus allows for a greater number of hoppers per labeling device.
• Report Delivery and Format improvements
Multiple Fax Agents are supported on a single CoPathPlus system
Updates to inbound, outbound and billing interfaces to improve result delivery
and reimbursement.
HL7 Results Interface with embedded image of patient report (MIME Data) that can be stored as a PDF file.
• Security and Management features
Better control of password requirements
Additional privileges within QA permissions, system settings, printing of “unsigned” reports, purging and assignment of numbers

Sunquest Collection Manager™ v3.0
Sunquest’s bedside collection system, Sunquest Collection Manager (CLM) allows Laboratories to automate the specimen collection process and ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling, enabling more efficient collections, reducing medical errors and improving patient safety. The v3.0 release includes:
· Platform flexibility— multiple platforms of handheld devices and laptops
· Supports “no orders” for Emergency Department (ED) workflow and offers a temporary label for scanned patients that don’t have LIS orders.
· Streamlines installation—Upgrades the CLM installation process, so that installation prompts only need to be answered once for all devices.
· Reports CLM error to the LIS—allows troubleshooting of the CLM product from the LIS system.
· Migration to .NET technology

Sunquest CoPathPlus™ v2.5 More news affirming our commitment to delivering quality pathology applications! Sunquest is pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) of Sunquest CoPathPlus™ v2.5. This release combines the functionality of basic Cerner CoPathPlus 2.5 with a variety of exciting new Sunquest-built capabilities. Sunquest is again helping clients serve caregivers inside and outside the laboratory walls by addressing the critical needs of our customers to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Included in this release are capabilities to increase productivity through workflow automation:
· Interfaces to Histology equipment
· Order cytology procedures based on rules – Reflex Testing
· Streamlined structured data reporting – mTuitive Integration
· Reference Lab Integration
· Capture critical cytology data fields electronically thru Order Entry Interface
· Improve report delivery and format
· Assist with regulatory guidelines, including NPI and CAP Cancer Protocols.
Sunquest Laboratory™ SMART Select
In July Sunquest announced availability of Sunquest Laboratory™, release 6.3.0. In combination with that release, Sunquest is pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) of SMART Select. The SMART and SMART Select modules provide customers specimen automated routing and tracking capabilities that improve both their efficiencies and productivity while reducing costs. This new module provides a core set of capabilities for those customers that have robotics and/or automation that require a more economical option as well as includes technological improvements to maximize their investment. SMART SELECT will be sold with both services and training along with software. Of great excitement is that customers who buy this new module in combination with the Lab 6.3.0 release can also leverage the new capability only available from Sunquest for accepting external specimen information that allows hospital laboratories to improve their outreach business efficiencies (Advanced Accessioning).

Commercial Laboratory v3.5.0
It is with great pleasure that we announce the general availability of Commercial Laboratory v3.5.0 which provides regulatory compliance and additional ease of administration. This release combines the features of all earlier versions and adds enhancements, resolutions, and new features. Some enhancement highlights of this release:
· Results Entry will capture the user’s SSID along with the date and time upon each entry and release.
· Test codes will be capture the instrument ID and will be viewable and printable from Inquiry.
· Test codes will reflect the reference ranges at the time of order.
· Results entry/release audits will be accessible via regular Inquiry or on microfiche/archival storage media after collection and purge.
